How is it interactive?

This page is dedicated to relaying information on matters of interest to our customers as well as those just curious about life or living in Spain. If you have a question to ask that you seem unable to resolve elsewhere, we will consult the relevant experts. Whether it is to do with current laws on residency, gardening, financial or where do I board my pets if I return to the U.K. for a holiday, we will endeavour to give you the answers or post details of where you can find those answers quickly and easily for yourself. We will also post amusing jokes or stories providing they are not deemed as offensive to others using this service. Q: We are looking to retire to spain but would be looking to have a small mortgage to fund the building of our home. Would it be possible to do this even if we do not have an income other than our pensions?

A: Yes of course it is possible. Your pension is your income and most banks here will allow you a mortgage providing you can show that you are able to repay the amount within your means. Be careful though, some banks charge a much higher rate than others which could eat into your hard earned pension. If you would like to e-mail me some more details about yourself and how much you would be looking to borrow, I will ask the manager of Cajasur bank to contact you directly to give you some facts and figures without obligation. Their rates are very competitive, and offer a quick and reliable service.
